5 Freefonts You Shouldn’t Have Missed
We expand our collection of high-quality freefonts we’ve put together few months ago. Some of newbies are quite old, however they haven’t been known for a while.
Particularly District Thin, Kontrapunkt and Com4t Fine Regular offer quality and can be used for serious online-presentations. Let’s take a closer look at 5 freefonts we’ve found on the Web over the last month. Links checked: June/12 2008.
1. District Thin: Description and Download

2. Fertigo: Description and Download

3. FF Clan Narrow Bold: Description and Download

4. Kontrapunkt: Description and Download

5. Com4T Fine Regular: Description and Download

January 19th, 2007 11:46 pmI like the list, the first and last are the best, however, outside of the first I don’t think they are “top 5″ but then again, your one of the few that wasn’t going for that angle. Personally I’m shocked at how many great fonts are hidden out there and a lot of people whine about there not being any good “free”, or “easy to obtain” ones. “Good” in fonts comes down to maturity in the artist I suppose. I’ve posted some rather good fonts on my forum as well, you can see them at;

January 20th, 2007 12:30 amDistrict thin says right on their website “You may not post this font for distribution on the internet.”
- 13
January 20th, 2007 1:25 amWhich is why they didn’t post it for distribution on the internet; they posted a link to the other guy’s page.
- 14
January 20th, 2007 1:25 amSmashmagazine isn’t hosting the font. They don’t say you can’t post a link to another site which is actually hosting the file to be downloaded.

You fail at the Internet, please log off now, and go outside.

January 20th, 2007 7:03 amthere’s thousands free” fonts, but many of them aren’t well made nor are they clear on commercial useage. at least one of these is, and it’ll allow you to use for commercial purposes. also these are thoughtfully made and crafted likely by someone trained/studying in typefaces, not just someone making a “cool looking font”…

January 21st, 2007 4:29 amGreat font choices, especially like the first two. Some negative comments might arise from those who just want ‘wacky’ outlandish fonts and cannot appreciate readable, yet distinguishable, ones. Thanks so much.
