Although we, designers, can derive inspiration from almost everything, nature often manages to provide us with beautiful eye-catching perspectives we would never have explored otherwise. We have collected hundreds of wallpapers already (see links below). In this post we would like to focus on wallpapers which emphasize the variety and beauty of nature.

Most of the wallpapers are incredibly beautiful, altough I think - as others mentioned here - that the contrast of the pictures in the last years immensively increases, what makes natural pictures a bit unnatural. This is of course also a product of the possibilities of digital environments and it’s usage. It is definitely different to analogue photography.
However, this is a great list to choose one or more of my future wallpapers :)

Though I usually love SM articles, I must admit that this review is quite deceiving. Being a environmental person, I have collected hundreds of nature wallpapers and the one presented here are mostly boring and/or common (all but both beautiful bird pic: the jay and the hummingbird).
What about the National Geographic archive of pictures offered as wallpapers? These are some of the most stunning nature photographs you can get!

Yeh some absolutely amazin pics there. I particularly like the sun through the woods. It seems a lot of them look like they’re done with HDR which is getting pretty overused at the mo but does look really cool.
