Great post, nice theme. Although my opinion is that to header doens’t match that well with the rest. 2 different ways of drawing. But maybe thats the purpose of this design.. Layout is cool though.

@Adam I don’t care about credit for these theme. Look at the date on the image from deviantart when it’s posted. And yes it’s partially inspired. And it stole the name. But copyright issues don’t really mater, if people get what they want.

On a different note – Hey Stephan, I have a nice foreign auto…I dare say “infinity” that has stars hanging in the side window of the backseat. Shall I write your url on the back of my car so as to give credit to your wordpress theme? Infinity is a common name and wordpress themes are hit the net by the 1000s….get over yourself :)

Absolutely gorgeous and original theme.

It seems my issue was with flickrss which is a real shame as I liked this element a lot. Ill continue to see if I can get it to work. Anyone having troubles with flickrss? (btw Im running WP 2.5)

@Andrew: Addictv answered the question….there was no page.php included in this theme. Create one (I just modified single.php). If you’d like a copy let me know and I will email it to ya…

if you are creating pages with worpress (for ex. i created a resume page), it didn’t show up right. it shows a preview of the blog like on the main page but that’s it. is there a page template available?

How do i remove the favicon? cant seem to find it anywhere..

I’d be glad to help. All the info you are referring to are in left.php and right.php. Since his theme isn’t widgetized, I’ve customized my left and right with some other stuff. My site is a work in progress but I’m happy to share:

Meaning on home im content with the defaut options, yet when i get to my portfolio – i would like to use up all the real estate the page offers, instead of losing space due to that right / left sidebar.

I download both versions Yichi’s and Smashing’s. The best of both is Yichi’s, the Smashing version is very ugly and conventional compared to Yichi’s.

My humble suggestion is to continue working aroung Yichi’s design to solved the bugs and discontinue the development in Smashing’s version.

Hey, awesome theme! I’ve hooked it up on my blog, but ran into a large error. Users can not submit comments in Internet Explorer! This is a huge disappointment since most of my visitors (unfortunately) are using IE!

Here’s what happens: When you click the submit button, nothing happens! It doesn’t load or give an error message, just nothing happens. Firefox and Safari have no issues, but IE messes up. If anyone can help, please drop me a line at damienkis AT gmail DOT com

I have found a solution for comments problem. Now on my site
you can submit comments with ajax effect and gravatar although using IE 7.0. you can check it on http://www.loadmemory.com/digisource.

It’s a beautiful piece of art work indeed. But if your like me and you already have a millions posts just the thought of having to go back through all of them and adding thumbnail images so they can show on the page correctly…well that is the only thing that is stopping me from using this theme. This would be a perfect theme for someone who starting a fresh install.. a brand new blog. PERFECT! I love the colors. I love his other designs as well. A very talented artist with a great eye for color.

For this theme how do i make the comment appear at the end of each new page?

Is anyone else seeing video tearing on IE? It’s fine on FF, Safari … but on IE there’s a huge lag every time you scroll, and then the page image tears as it pulls in the new content. I disabled the extraneous JS and CSS and it still does it. I have to assume it’s something about the layout which is freaking IE out. Regardless, I can’t use this theme with this kind of issue. Too bad, really liked it.

Any clues on where to disable theme favicon?I’ve loaded my own into my root directory but it doesnt seem to be working.

Since yesterday,i’m using this theme on my blog ( http://www.madeinmundo.com ). I’m with a tricky problem with my comments area. They are on the left side of the blog and they should be in the center. This problem doesn’t affect IE…only my lovely Firefox and the new Chrome.

Every time i add a new post it just stays on the one page….how do i make it so theres more then one page holding my posts. like page 1,2,3 etc…… i dont want heaps of thumbnails on the one page.

I’ve changed the theme directory permissions to rwxr-xr-x (775) which I thought would solve the problem but the error is still showing up. Also I am using Wordpress 2.5. Can I have some help?

OK people! Finally I found a solution for “comment post bug” in IE7. This should work, cuz it works for me :) OK then:

1. Open – comments.php – file in theme folder.
2. Find – “button value=”submit” class=”submitBtn” -
3. Add – type=”submit” – just after – button value=”submit”

The theme has no problems in modern browsers and also works fine in Internet Explorer 6. WRONG this theme is great but I am really in need of a fix my site http://www.evolved.fm loads fast and quick and great in FIREFOX

But when using IE 6 or 7 it SLOWS DOWN. When it loads, if you try to scroll down the page its VERY VERY SLOW and sluggish WHY?

Someone please tell me what this might be? How can I fix it?

Good theme but I have a quad core (QX9650 @ 3.4 ghz, 4GB Ram, Raptor Drives in Raid-0) and in IE6 / IE7 it lags like crazy! My cpu usage is at 30% + when scrolling and it scrolls really slow. Firefox, Opera, Safari, Google Chrome it all works fine but only in IE. Anyone figure out why it’s slow in IE?

Love this theme, and used it for several months. Quit recently for another.

Found a bug with the comments that I couldn’t correct. The comments only displayed the date of the post, not the date of the comment. Very odd.

In the end though I found that the number of people who participated in comments declined rapidly. Maybe my content sucks, but I had a few people say that they didn’t realize they had to click on the pictures to see the posts. Duh…

Okay, I got the same error as a few others regarding Flickr. I changed themes then got this error: [Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_flickrrss() (previously declared in... var/www/vhosts///httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/flickrRSS/flickrrss.php:15) in /var/www/vhosts///httpdocs/wp/wp-content/themes/Mashup-theme/theme/functions.php on line 481].

I (mistakenly) thought my already installed version of FlickrRSS would work and moved the one inside the folder of this theme to my plugins folder. I copied back into the themes folder the plugins that came with this theme. How can this now be fixed? I cannot login to the dashboard.

Hey, great theme. Not sure how I stumbled on to it, but after looking at way too many themes I finally settled on this one. It’s great and after a small amount of customization even better. The one problem I have is with the Twitter feed. When the page is loading it will stop loading anything else if twitter is taking a while to respond. Is there anyway to get around this? I hate seeing nearly all the navigation on the right two columns not load until Twitter gets up to speed.

This is one of the best themes. I’m using it right now and I’ve modified a lot of things here. In my site, it’s widget ready, and it uses timthumb.php. So when you post thumbnails in the frontpage, you can see a bigger one on the single post. Furthermore, I’ve changed the background and some css. I’ve also added Facebook Connect and a link directory plugin. I’d like to say thank you for the theme designer and Smashing Magazine. I’ve really done lots of additions in this theme..
