September 2nd, 2008 12:06 pmOne of these days, I would love to create an icon set for Smashing mag. I’ve done several for my own use, but never for mass consumption. What a great idea!

September 2nd, 2008 1:26 pmThe colors could benefit from a bit of work for my own personal tastes, but the icons themselves are pretty hot. I especially like the simplified approach to some of these. I’ll definitely be checking these out the next time I need some icons. Thanks for sharing the set! MakeDesign,NotWar

September 2nd, 2008 4:19 pmWow, my surname is the name of the icon set, very cool.
They look like small stickers. (That’s a compliment).

September 2nd, 2008 7:09 pmdid you really just post the download type as a .rar –what a jackass. Nice crap frosting on a beautiful cake. Now I will not use them because I do not have time to install shit to open rars. Nice customer focus
- 23
September 2nd, 2008 7:18 pmI like them very much. Thank you SM!
- 24
September 2nd, 2008 7:53 pmgreat download. simplicity is great
- 25
September 2nd, 2008 10:24 pmI can’t open this download – it is a .rar file and Windows has offered me two options that cost money. Doesn’t seem like a good way to fold up a file that’s supposed to be free?
- 26
September 2nd, 2008 10:53 pmWow, these are awesome. Will see if I can use them somewhere.
- 27
September 2nd, 2008 11:28 pmGreat that other people want to make icons for Smashing Magazine – take heed guys ;-)
The icons are nice and clean which is normally what I go for but I don’t see a use for them in my projects. Thanks though!
- 28
September 2nd, 2008 11:32 pmdon’t these icons somehow perfectly fit to google’s chrome browser color invironment? good work, nice and fresh new approach.

September 3rd, 2008 1:02 amI have a question on the license…
Can I use these (and other smashing mag free icons) as part of a CMS template that is distributed a) free, or b) commercially?
Thanks.

September 3rd, 2008 1:11 amthank you
- 31
September 3rd, 2008 2:33 amtooooooooo..nice…………….
- 33
September 3rd, 2008 4:53 amIt’s great that Smashing mag releases great icons but you really should pick a “real” license like MIT, BSD, Creative Commons, Public Domain, GPL etc. Something that is more “clear” to users than that sentence you now use.

October 1st, 2008 5:48 amHi friends,
In first place, congratulations, very nice icons. Good job.
At second, I want to make you a question:
I getted you icons and I modified some they and I created others news icons in base to Simplicio Icon Set. I used “my news icons” in the backend of an aplication that use “Bueditor”. This is an open source WYSIWYG javascript editor.May I send “my icons” to contribute to Bueditor project?
Thank you.
