December 24th, 2008 4:55 pmNow that’s a lovely little extra to find in my stocking on Christmas Eve! Had it been distributed as true GPL I would have suggested that you make WordPress.org aware of it.
In discussing feature considerations for 2.8, Jane indicated one feature they are thinking of is a new theme to ship with the core release set. It would be both an alternative to Kubrick and one for people who are beginning to look to customize WordPress A “sandbox” of sorts. Were this GPL it would be a great fit for those and a link in the admin area for .com and .org users would be worth far more visibility over the long-term I imagine.
Just a thought. Merry Christmas!

As a designer in television, I can say that we are not amused by your shenanigans….
Actually, working on Xmas at 5am on the news does not amuse us either.

December 25th, 2008 4:57 pm@adii You could make that case. You could also make the case that both borrow a lot of style / inspiration from the tuts grouping of Envato sites too.
I’m starting to see why Matt feels the way he doesn about GPL as the derivitive work aspect could apply greatly in these cases. It need not result in legal or social upheval. Merely give credit where credit is due or fork for yourself if you are so inclined :)

December 26th, 2008 2:27 amThat´s a great Christmas gift indeed – it´s cute with the Christmas stuff and without it´s a clean and bright theme and could be used for everything. Many thanks for sharing that, happy holidays and greetings from Austria!

December 26th, 2008 8:46 pmWhat a nice little present to give all of your readers. Seems to be a really nice theme. Something tells me we’re going to see a bunch of this theme start to crop up in the fall as Xmas sites start to launch and ready for the Xmas season.
Happy Holidays!
DKumar M.
December 27th, 2008 12:45 am@david – Please visit “Smashing Christmas Icon Sets” to get that “RSS snow globe” icon or you can find all the icons information in readme.txt which is included inside theme .zip file.

December 27th, 2008 12:00 pmWell, I’m going to be honest and say that it looks like a load of disparate stock image library christmas trinkets tacked on to yet another cookie cutter theme. What’s the point?

vs:
“A link back must be included in the footer or simply just don’t remove the credits from footer.”

October 4th, 2011 12:30 amHi, nice theme. Thanks. One thing – the side bar. Under the latest WP version, when you place new widget in the sidebar, the sidebar goes tits up and loses its format. Is there also a way to remove blogroll etc, but still maintain the same look with out editing sidebar.php?
Thanks
