50 Wonderful, Inspiring Photoblogs
A photoblog is a very specific type of blog. Its focus is photography, and there are typically few words beyond a caption and comments. Photoblogs are easy to set up and maintain, and they make great photo galleries for photographers who are put off by the complexity of HTML coding or installing a CMS such as WordPress.
It’s because of this simplicity, not to mention the development of free yet sophisticated tools like Pixelpost, that photoblogging has exploded in popularity over the last few years. Photoblogs.org, for example, lists over 32,000 photoblogs! That’s a lot of photos, and a lot of photographers vying for your attention.
Dedicated as ever to making your life easier, we’ve handpicked over 50 brilliant photoblogs for your viewing pleasure. There’s a little of everything, including photojournalism and nature, landscape, street, portrait and travel photography. We’ve also listed some of the best photoblogging solutions, articles and other resources at the bottom of the post.

Hi, great post…
It’s made me super motivated to bust out more of my own photography and get more creative… instead of always taking the photo marketing road which I do at my PhotoMarketeers.com blog.
Some nice, richly presented photo blogs here…
Thanks :)
- 23February 15th, 2009 12:50 pm

Yes I look at a lot of these regularly and some I had not heard of before so thanks for this excellent list.
A new one I found recently is Dynamic Range. Looks like it should be good with a combination of the owners images and articles about other photographers and photographic techniques.

- 34February 16th, 2009 10:43 am
What? No riotclitshave? I’m stunned. (Full disclosure for the easily shocked: riotclitshave is a pun of right click save and not a descriptor of the blog’s primary content, although it does periodically contain nudity of various types.)
It’s my absolute all time favorite photo/image (mostly photo) blog, and Bean, the proprietor, is an amazingly wonderful person.
http://riotclitshave.livejournal.com
(I hope this doesn’t count as “link dropping” – you guys should probably define that a little better.) - 35February 16th, 2009 1:17 pm

Great list of websites… a lot of landscape, nature, cityscape and photojournalism style photography. But, there’s a definite lack of fashion, studio, commercial and editorial style photography. Is it that studio/fashion/commercial/fine-arts photographers just don’t have blogs?
- 50February 22nd, 2009 3:07 pm
Well impressed with these sites. The chromasia is a wonderful site that I never realised was so close to me.

Very Nice and inspirational collection Gibson…. Although There are few which you missed… Still, it’s a good appreciable list.
I’m a great admirer of “Chromasia, Flak, DDOI, Joe’s NYC” as i’m one of the regular visitors there.
But i like “Chromasia” the most. David Nightingale of Blackpool, England is really a great photographer with his good taste in inspirational post-production skills. Also his work is truly nice and great unlike those Photoshopped freak shows.
Unfortunately, for some it is impossible to find the RSS feed, as many of us would like to subscribe.
