Project Icon Set For Free Download
Over the last months we’ve heard numerous complaints about the lack of quality in our freebie releases. We are aware that our readers have high expectations and we try to do our best to meet them in our posts. In this post and in the following one we release two beautiful professional icon sets that will hopefully meet your expectations and will come in handy in your projects.

Project Icon Set
This icon set, designed by Navdeep Raj and released for Smashing Magazine and its readers, contains 18 beautiful icons related to project management. The set includes the icons address card, bar graph, calendar, clock / time, conference device, contact, documents, draft, mail, marker, milestone, notes, portfolio, project plan / gant chart, search / find, sitemap / flowchart, todo and user / resource.
The files are transparent PNGs, and vector Fireworks source files are included as well. As always, the set is completely free and may be used for any private or commercial project without any restrictions whatsoever.

Awesome icons set. Lets see much more of these kinds of icons, and much fewer silly acorn icons. The acorn icons are cool, but I can’t even guess at a site that would need them.

Lack of quality?
Do readers have any clue how long even either the simplest wordpress theme or icon set takes to develop? Hours of time. And the designers are basically giving this stuff away for free.
Seriously, start IP banning all the idiots that complain about the quality of the freebies.
(Note: complaints about ARTICLE quality are still as valid as ever.. you guys have a reputation to uphold)

Very interesting set, but not all the icons have the same angle, and some of them like the Search, ToDo and User/Resource Icons are not as detailed and stylished as the other.
But I really 100% enjoy all the others (I love the James Bond Adress Card !) that I will definitly use in my projects.
It’s just my subjective critic, that I can give to another Web designer, we all need fair critics to improve and get better, day after day :)

thanks for this icons but i have some problem with the other files included in the group. I can’t delete some file in the group like ._Clock ._Search etc. what are those files and why I can’t delete those files. the error said “cannot delete from the source file or disk”

I had the same problem as flesh in comment #50. I appreciate this freebie, but it was provided in such a way that if you extract it in some XP machines, it becomes impossible to delete some of those files without some comprehensive method that I have yet to discover. If you have received many complaints about this and know a solution to be able to delete the files, please let me know about it.

having the same issue in vista, the files are not unzipping fully and then leaving partial files and folders which will not delete. Does anyone have a solution to this? Or can someone provide a cleaned-up version of the file? not trying to complain about a freebie, but corrupt files is a bit lame

1.create a folder in documents.
