The Silverthemes’ server couldn’t manage the traffic :( We replaced the link to the demo with full preview images.

Actually anyone can use it, you don’t have to keep it in Magento. I’ll toss a copy of Magento onto our test server, install this and then scrape the entire thing into raw HTML. After that it’s about an hours work to make it a Joomla/Virtuemart template. Though I think I might use the opportunity to get some time in on Zen-Cart.

For a free theme it’s a great freebie. As with any serious business though a tailored bespoke solution is always best. For new startups however this seems perfect.

Great Free theme. I even love the free opportunity to BUY the plugin to make it work like the theme is supposed to.
Its a sharp theme indeed, but not so impressive without the plugin. So its not so free.

I had an issue with the Search Box not displaying properly. For whatever reason, the header.phtml template file was trying to echo a single line of PHP code using <?= … ?> (which I have disabled on my Production Server) instead of <?php echo … ?> .
To fix that, run this diff patch from the document root of your Magento install:
http://bsdeviant.org/mirror/sigyn-smtheme.diffEdit: Obviously, if you don’t have an issue with the search box, then you don’t need to run this patch. If you do, and you can’t figure it out, then this will help.

well…of all them free shopping solutions, Magento has the best interface, but it is rather picky when it comes to server configuration…I never made it work actually.

I’m so glad to see Smashing Magazine provide templates other than Wordpress! While I love Wordpress, there are so many more CMS and shopping carts that need the Smashing Magazine touch. Also, it’s hard to find high quality Magento themes, so I’m even happier to see this!

Could someone tell me how to build that menu like the one in the demo? (i.e. Home / Furniture / Clothes / Computers etc).
