What an Animal – Illustrations of Pigs
This is part 4 of the "What an Animal" series here on Design Informer. I’ve had a good response about this series and this is my "fun" post of the week.
Pigs have always been used in cartoons and in different forms of media. They have been used to depict slopiness, being fat, and sometimes, they have even been used in advertising due to the fact that their cuteness appeals to some people. They are also known for the" piggy bank." Most children had one growing up.
Let’s look at 30 fat and unique illustrations of pigs.
Note: Please click on the images to see them in their websites and to learn more about their artists.
The Swine Flew
I thought that this was unique and clever.

So which one of these pig illustrations did you like and why? Are there any cool pig illustrations that I forgot to include in this post? Leave your answers in the comments below. Also, let me know what animal we should feature next. You must also follow Design Informer on Twitter.

December 19th, 2009 9:02 amThis is a really interesting post. The spider-man pig was indeed an eye-opener. Some illustrations have a nice little narrative attached to them too. Like the pig and the gun. Very nice! Thanks for sharing; it served as an engaging and light-hearted reprieve for me, from work. :)

December 19th, 2009 5:11 pmYour right Josh. The reason I do this series is because I enjoy looking at different illustrations and finding new and cool ones. It’s a relief from writing articles that really take a lot of time. :)

December 19th, 2009 9:29 pmThanks Doug. I’m glad you liked this post. Like I said in the beginning of the post, these posts are more for me than for anybody. I think it’s fun to get away from the rigorous process that’s involved in writing about web and graphic design. This sure allows me to do that.
