Free Christmas and New Year’s Eve WordPress Theme
In this post we release our last freebie for the Christmas and the New Year season: a beautiful Christmas and New Year’s Eve WordPress Theme, designed by Site5 and released for Smashing Magazine and its readers. The theme is decorated using Smashing Christmas Icon Set and its main goal is to give a blog a very festive, snowy, New Year’s atmosphere. The theme has no particular requirements, except that the WordPress 2.8.5+ should be installed. As usual, the theme is free to use in private and commerical projects.

I like this theme. The header illustration is great. I also like the contrast with the dark background and light content area. Nice theme overall! Site5 did a great job.

thx, had a parse error installing this theme on localhost.
You have to open /functions.php and change the last rule to :
that should do it. Thx for this free theme

last rule to what? im getting the same error and don’t know how to bypass it..

You can just ignore the error, or install the unzipped contents of the theme via FTP as the theme’s instructions indicate and that will bypass it too. I got those same errors when going through wp-admin and uploading…

NIck: When i activate it i get parse error so ignoring it won’t solve my problem since it is the only thing displaying (Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\themes\webfolio\functions.php on line 286)… I’ve read that changing to xampp (from wamp) would solve the problem but sadly I get the same error message..
Any ideas?

Very nice theme. Great quality, as usual. Thanks a lot SM for this giveaway! Agree with Jake…I would have love to get this theme a couples of days earlier. I’ve added the theme to this WordPress Christmas themes selection, along with last year SM’s Christmas theme from InstantShift. Though it might be useful to some.
