Desktop Wallpaper Calendar: June 2010

Advertisement

Desktop wallpapers can serve as an excellent source of inspiration. However, if you use some specific wallpaper for a long period of time, it becomes harder to draw inspiration out of it. That’s why we have decided to supply you with smashing wallpapers over 12 months. And to make them a little bit more distinctive from the usual crowd, we’ve decided to embed calendars for the upcoming month. So if you need to look up some date, isn’t it better to show off a nice wallpaper with a nice calendar instead of launching some default time application?

This post features 60 free desktop wallpapers, created by designers across the globe. Both versions with a calendar and without a calendar can be downloaded for free. Windows 7 Theme of June Calendars.

Please notice:

  • all images can be clicked and lead to the preview of the wallpaper;
  • you can feature your work in our magazine by taking part in our desktop wallpaper calendar series. We are regularly looking for creative designers and artists to be featured on Smashing Magazine. Are you one of them?

So what wallpapers have we received for June 2010?

    Thanks for at least posting 2 of the world cup.. I know this is not a big deal for americans, but for the rest of the world is pretty important, so it would have been great if there were more options but I took the first one anyway.

    I think this month has amazing designs, it was a shame that I wanted one of the world cup.

    Congrats!

    i love “bike”, but the calendar sits so low in the picture it is hidden beneath my tool bar… so it defeats the purpose. so… second choice is “golden field”, it feels very autumn to me, but is such a beautiful picture i can’t pass it up.

    Hey Smashing!
    Once again al of you designers have produced a work of art. My favorite wallpapers are Cat, Sweet June, Stoneblocks, Do What You Want, Go Green, A Brighter June, Back To The Drawing Board, June Nights On My Planet, Midnight Moon, Children’s Day, and Au Revoir! Hopefully if I keep practicing I’ll enter one of my drawings, but I don’t exactly think I’m good enough!!!

    Every month, I have a hard time choosing a wallpaper for my desktop.
    They are all so great! This month I chose Au revoir since it made me think of the oil spill. I am not a graphic designer but I would really like to learn to make a wallpaper.
    Keep on imagining and producing. Thank you!

    Hi,
    Maybe we should add an iPhone wallpaper size? As we can now add a wallpaper in background with the iOS4, it could be useful to have a calendar, you know, in background. Maybe useful. You know? As we can now, so why can’t we do it? Why not, I mean. Maybe. Just an idea. Ok. Well.
