Upcoming Web Design and Development Conferences in 2010

At the end of last year, we published a comprehensive list of web design and development conferences1 that might be of interest to Smashing Magazine’s diverse readership. Many readers commented and added links to other conferences and events that weren’t listed, some of which were added to the post. Using the contents of that list along with some other sources, we’ve compiled a list of web design and development-related conferences and events that will be taking place in the next six to eight months.

As always, there is no way for us to be able to include every possible event here, but we’ll be glad to update the list if you provide a comment to an upcoming event that you feel would be of interest to graphic designers or web developers.

While the previous roundup was organized by category, this one lists the events in chronological order starting with the earliest. Jump to an appropriate month using the links below:

I think you guys should keep this a constant feature, something designers can always have as reference to when and where events will take place.

I’m going to have to second this! I am a young designer in midwest America and I often only find out about the very few conferences that happen here much after they have already occured. Love the post, thank you!

There were a few different conferences in other languages that I wanted to include, but because I can’t read the language on the site, I can’t find a good summary, location, dates, etc.

And many of those sites didn’t seem to have English versions.

But anyhow, thanks for mentioning Paris-Web here, it certainly looks like a great lineup of speakers is scheduled.

Very nice list. Gonna read this through later on with more time. But for now my first question would be is anyone these streamed live? Since I probably have no change of travelling anymore this year it’d be sad to miss all this. :/

Great round up, I wish I was able to go to any of these but my travel is all used up this year.

@iivo, I haven’t had a chance to look through all of them, but at a glance, it doesn’t look like they offer any live streaming. Maybe they will offer DVD/Powerpoints?

Mac, don’t you think 250E is a little too much for a ticket?

      0

When you say too much, can you tell me please with what other conference / event are you comparing it ?

PS: the ticket price right now is 150 EUR.

One thing I hate about these conventions is that they’re practically impossible to attend my the usual designer.
For example, the one in Romania is 250E for 1 ticket. That’s almost a medium salary. To bad..

Not about design but about usability, web standards and frontend stuff: http://webtechcon.de/
This event will be held together with the International PHP Conference 11-13th October at the Rheingoldhalle, Mainz
Be aware that most of the sessions there will be in German only.
