Desktop Wallpaper Calendar: November 2010

Desktop wallpapers can serve as an excellent source of inspiration. However, if you use a specific wallpaper for a longer period of time, it becomes harder to draw inspiration out of it. That’s why we have decided to supply you with smashing wallpapers for over 12 months. To make them a little more distinctive than the usual crowd, we’ve decided to embed calendars for the upcoming month. So if you happen to be searching for a specific day of the month, isn’t it better to show off a nice wallpaper with a nice calendar instead of launching some default time application?

This post features 50 free desktop wallpapers, created by designers across the globe for November 2010. Both versions with a calendar and without a calendar can be downloaded for free.

Please notice:

  • all images can be clicked on and lead to the preview of the wallpaper;
  • you can feature your work in our magazine1 by taking part in our desktop wallpaper calendar series. We are regularly looking for creative designers and artists to be featured on Smashing Magazine. Are you one of them?

So what wallpapers have we received for November 2010?

Update (02.11.2010): You can also download the Windows 7 Wallpapers Pack2 with all wallpapers featured in this post.

  1. 1

Not a very good collection….can’t see anything different…

  2. 2

My fav…. High Treason!! Love bonfire night!

  3. 3

gr8 wallpapers..loved the rose petal, november rain.and as usual loved the wallpapers by Bell sisters

  4. 6
  5. 10

I use the ‘change picture’ / ‘random order’ options on my desktop background. It would be really cool if I could download all of these (for a specific resolution) as a set (one file) that I could drop into a folder.

Bit of a pain having to go through them all one by one ;)

  6. 12

    I really like Expanse.

I’m never one to throw negativity out there and I know I’ll probably be chastised for saying this but I’m so tired of the Bells’ works (yaaaaaawwwwnnn). Sorry girls.

    • 13

Yup… I agree with this. Looks like every month their wallpapers are featured more than a single entry. I have nothing also with the girls – they’re really pretty and nice – but can’t we have something else?

    • 14

Fully agree! They are always so harmonic it makes me sick.

    • 15

      I have to agree, sorry!

    • 16

I hope they are not being included because there’s just nothing else.

But yeah, it’s too many Bells for my taste…

  7. 17

Thank you very much for featuring my design in this month’s collection !
It is a big motivation to continue designing and growing into visuals!

  8. 18

Great collection of awesome photography this month! Beautiful ones from Sasha Bell!
I will go with “Fallen leaves” and “Pink morning” :)

        Fernando Perigolo

        November 2, 2010 4:11 am

Vitaly Friedman has already given me a feedback, but, Course, contact me via facebook. I will try next mouth and all suggestions are welcome. I already have a new theme to work. Will work hard to next mouth!

  10. 24

Agh! Torn between Racing Incident and Ghost Friends…so I’ll go with High Treason (yes, I work for Fluid Creativity! :oD)

  11. 25

BOOM!!! High Treason! Love it! You need to download it to see it in all it’s glory though.

  12. 26

    I love Sasha Bell’s collections……

  13. 28

Good collection. But sad since mine didn’t make it!

  14. 29

    Movember ftw :)

  15. 30

I’m going with “November Expectation” the only thing that I don’t understand is why the heck do you need to put all this logotypes and urls on the wallpaper.. I always need to edit and delete these stuff in photoshop..

  16. 31

    Fernando Perigolo

    November 1, 2010 3:14 am

I asked because I was afraid of having completed something wrong. Ok man, will try again next mouth.
My fav is “A Myriad of Stars”

  17. 32

Why are Sasha Bell models so beautiful?

    • 33

I guess they pay to get published every month, sorry but can’t see the beauty of sweaty kid sox on a pc desktop. Smashing Team, all the comments don’t ring a bell???? Smash the Bells by getting a divorce!

  18. 34

I love the collection! Can’t choose between Pink Morning and Favorite Pair for current paper.

I also noticed the tendency to photographic wallpapers – that’s nice!

    Thanks, Smashing!

  19. 36

The Hendrix wallpaper is really cool. Loved the style!

  20. 37

I really liked the Hendrix Fire Lyrics Micrography.

  21. 38

    Disappointed no turkeys……

  22. 39

I chose “Expectation” this month. It perfectly describes november :)

  23. 40

“November Girl” has no calendar on any of the versions I checked.

  24. 43

My favourite day of the month! I love these calendars

  25. 44

    hello team..
thanks for provide us to a fabulous wallpaper.. but still we’re facing same trouble from team. it’s November and November has only 30 dayz while some of my friend showing 31 days..
Before few days I’ve mailed you regard same typography mistake. and i got the revert mail that we’ll revise it and in future i’ll not happen that we’ll take care.. still i’m finding some silly mistake which are i’m letting you know.

Bon Voyage | Mechanical Month | Diwali Greetings| November in Africa

    Regards.. Zubair ahmed

    • 45

We are listening, Zubair. We receive around 150-200 wallpapers each month, and it’s difficult to keep track of all the details: file formats, resolutions, image quality… We do check if the calendar is OK, but sometimes we do mistakes. Sorry about that.

      • 46

I think you all used the original wallpaper that I sent, where the wrong dates are highlighted. I sent you an updated wallpaper (Remembering George), but wasn’t sure if you received it. Just thought I’d let you know. Thanks for including!

      • 47

I felt there is an overdose of the bell sisters… If you really get 150-200 wallpapers don’t you think you should be giving others equal opportunity?!

      • 48

@ Ahmed – Sorting out mammoth quantity of wallpapers in just 2 days is not a joke. Lets work together as a community and help our Smashing team work towards adding correct wallpapers. Vitaly, we are here, mention if you need any additional hands, we’ll be happy :-)

  26. 49

Finally! Amazing pictures again! Thank you!

  27. 50

Excelentes, aunque sería bueno que de ves en cuanto incluyan temas latinoamericanos.

  28. 51

as awesome as always. love the ‘Remembering George’ and ‘Hendrix Fire Micrography’

  29. 52

There is a white pixel line on the left side of Simple Sunflower 1920×1200 wallpaper… (easy to correct ;) )

    • 53

Sorry about that! I checked them all before sending, but that line must have escaped my notice somehow. I will correct it when I get home from work and send in to SM.

  30. 54

Hi, thank you for those great wallpapers. Btw, I have created a simple tool that downloads all wallpapers of a specified size so that I don’t have to download them manually. I think this could help some of you too:

    November 1, 2010 4:24 am

Not impressed! It’s November, the month of Thanksgiving! Where are all the turkeys and cornicopias? How sad. :(

I’m forced to go with November Tree as it’s the closest thing to represent fall in my eyes.

  32. 59

    Loving the Fallen Leaves one!!
    Awesome collection!

  33. 60

Thank you for offering all these varieties. My favorite is the curly branched tree with the full month (with days). You are now bookmarked.

  34. 61

Great selection! My favourites this month are:
    Rose Petal
    Pink Morning
    Fall Into Place
    Bon Voyage
    High Treason
Calaca for El d’a de Muertos

  35. 64

    Mechanical Month for the win!

  36. 65

i love the wallpapers of November~~
this is the best month i’ve ever seen!
    thank you smashing!!

  37. 66

    Hey Smash,
I love the inspiration…looking forward to turning on my laptop everytime i get to work…managed to find 4 for each week.

  38. 67

As a science geek I am totally all about expanse. The UX Cake is also pretty original, props to both.

  39. 68

This was my first month doing wallpapers, so I’m excited to see one of mine made it! (Simple Sunflower) I’m wondering though, why not all of the resolutions I sent in were posted? There should have been a 1024×768 as well. Was there a problem with the file?

  40. 69

What a vast array of talent!

My favourite, however, was Thanks For Giving by Graphic. Very powerful and relevant.

  41. 70

Thanks for featuring my wallpaper ‘Remember, Remember’. I posted a tutorial about how I made it over on my blog if anyone is interested.

Might do one for December too!

  42. 71

    Awesome wallpapers !
My fav is “fall into places”, i love this one.
Many thanks for this incredible stuff.

  43. 72

Where is the wallpaper? Those are always my favorite. Although when I got to their site I get an “Internal Server Error” so that might explain why it’s not here either.

  44. 73

Great. My fav is “November Rain”….

  45. 74

I love the George Harrison wallpaper. He was my favourite Beatle too. And the Myriad Stars and Big Heart of Ours wallpapers are just gorgeous!

Thanks to all who shared their wallpapers.

  46. 76

    as always superb collection

  47. 77

My fav is Diwali Greetings. Thanks for adding Devanagari Text. I like the typeface. Which is the typeface used for Devanagari ? One one Diwali Wallpaper. ;(

  48. 78

This is the best collection of wallpapers I ever seen on smashing magazine

  49. 79

Reprieve, Expanse, Speaker Bird, … my favs, in that order :]

  50. 80

    Gorgeous collection as always !!!

  51. 81

Olivia Bell’s Fallen Leaves :) – i like the shot, angle & colours. Hope to see more ‘non-human’ shots from the Bell sisters. ;)

Reprieve by Kim Carney – love the monochromatic look of the wallpaper. The dead leaves simply can’t look any sexier. :D

  52. 83

the donning of moustaches in movember ( is to raise awareness of prostate cancer. i’ve noticed it in the autumn rugby tests interviews – those partaking all say its for a good cause, and raising awareness, but forget to say what its raising awareness of!

  53. 84

Nice Collection, my favourites are Pink Morning and Calaca for El d’a de Muertos.

  54. 87

Gonna be a hard choice this month, but sad that still a lot of designs are topping out at 1920×1080/1200 when a lot of us run 2560px native displays now.

    • 88

Yeah not a lot of choice for the 2560-ers out there :-(

I would have LOVED the ‘Life Thougths’ one! Designers, please consider us?

  55. 89

Pink morning was my favorite this month, I love the combination of the vivid and the pastel water colors. November Girl is intriguing; an explanation for the creativity surrounding this image would be nice.

  56. 91

    Sasha Bell appears every month.
    I love ur work :)

  57. 92

    Thank you!

  58. 93

Sasha Bell must have the right connections! every month without fail!!??

    • 94

Wonder what she’ll give in return every month :-)

    • 96

Or she’s very talented. Sasha, your work is gorgeous, it’s just not my style of wallpaper. But in terms of the images themselves, I love ‘favourite pair’ and ‘autumn afternoon’!

  59. 97

Bon Voyage is my favorite one. But Simple Sunflower and Tiramisu are also very nice.

  60. 98
  61. 99

    Life Thoughts

Love the selection but living in South Africa, had to pick something with a summer feel.

Thank you Darshan, designing such a beautiful calender. This is also my month of Remembrance.

    • 100

Thanks Tertia for appreciating the work… next time will design some on south africa day.

  62. 101

Symbian World is my favorite this month.

  63. 102

I chose Transitions since it clearly illustrates how I feel about the current season where I know it’s not winter yet, but I know the snow is coming!

  64. 103

Thanks for choosing my wallpaper this month! Great collection as well! My favorite is November Rain! Great work!

  65. 104

    Mark Christianson

    November 1, 2010 8:51 am

As usual, great designs though I am disappointed that not one of the submissions offers any recognition of Veterans Day (November 11) (Armistice Day in EU)

Sure, remembering George Harrison is nice, but what about the men and women who serve?

  66. 105

A wonderful collection, too difficult to pick ONE fave.
    Love the playfulness of Movember
can totally relate to November Rain and Expectation (being from Seattle)
    Favourite Pair is perfect
Lonely White Guardian makes me shiver with delight
Calaca for El d’a de Muertos

Thank you Smashing Magazine for including me in this great colleciton!

  67. 109

    Really amazing, as usual! congratz!

  68. 110

Another lovely collection, including several evocative photographs, though my faves were the very pretty, water-colory Pink Morning, November Girl Calendar (a little after-Hallows afterglow), the interesting Symbian Morning, the attitude of gratitude (always apropo) in Thanks for Giving, Bon Voyage was pretty but limited size, November Tree, Autumn w/Gecko, and I was hoping there would be ones for world holidays Calaca for El d’a de Muertos and Diwali Greetings, Hendrix Fire and Myriad of Stars were great, Movemeber was funny, Knitting Fall felt comfy and warm, bright and happy for the coming winter, and I liked the concept of Expanse.

    • 111

Thanks Natalia! I like the day of dead and for that reason I was inspired by him. I’m so pleased you like my wallpaper Calaca.

  69. 112

    i love, ‘fall into place’

  70. 113

OK who comes up with that stuff? Wow.

  71. 114

‘Pink Morning’ is delightfully colorful, and I could go for a slice of ‘UX cake’, but ‘Fallen Leaves’, with its soft shapes and modest tones, sits best on my desktop. Beautiful art all around, though.

  72. 115

    November rain, definitely!
    svaka čast, Edise :)

  73. 116

Movember is very timely… a friend was telling me the story behind movember this morning and so now I’ll have to put it up… in spite my fear and loathing of mustaches.

Also love A Myriad of Stars, November Tree, and Reprieve. Thanks for sharing your talents all!

  74. 117

Though every moment pass by reduce the youth of the year, I look forward for that trickling feeling of new month. To treasure that feel of morning fresh dew on naive, red rose petal and ticklishly warm ray of rising Sun, I long for the new day of new month to get SmashingMagazine’s Calender Wallpapers. I keep changing it for whole month and still I have enough. :D)

Thanks SmashingMagazine for all year round creative, colorful, event based wallpaper collection. Appreciated.

  75. 118

I am disappointed that Smashing didn’t select my calendar design this month. If anyone is looking for a minimalist, dark design, head to to download various sizes. Maybe next month… :(

  76. 119

I like them !!!thanks for sharing!!!

  77. 120

    Nice collection!

But just as an FYI, Movember isn’t just “No Shave Month” for some “weird reason”. It is an organized campaign to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. The idea is that participants grow a silly moustache (a “mo”) all month which allows them to transform into a walking billboard for the Movember campaign. It’s sure to strike up plenty of spontaneous conversations about how to get involved and where to make donations! It’s fun but also very productive in raising money for the cause!! :)

  78. 121

Thanks to all for doing these. I like to use the with-calendar versions but always have to look to make sure the calendars start their weeks on the right day (Sunday, for me). I would be confused if I downloaded a Monday-first-day calendar. So difficult to please everyone :)

It’s a fun part of the month to see people’s creativity.

    Thanks again.

These are my fave this month: Mechanical Month, Symbian World, Fall into Place, November Tree.

  80. 123

Hmmm… too bad mine didn’t got featured. Can I get feedback??

    It’s still a great collection!

  81. 124

    Favourite Pair and Pink Morning

  82. 125

very nice collection… love the work by sasha bell… she rocks!!!!

  83. 126

My favs this month are November Tree followed by Calaca for El dia de muertos

I also like Pink Morning, November Fire and November Girl.

I look forward to these every month

  84. 127

Movember in Australia is a charity event. Don’t shave for a month – grow a badass mo, organise parties, raise money/awareness for men’s health issues. In Australia I think it has a bent towards prostate cancer and depression.

    Anyway, just an info note.

  85. 128

This month they came a little late for us at the beginning of the time zone (Australasia) – I checked yesterday (1.of November here) and none to be found…
I picked ‘Channel 11′ as it reminds me of days long gone; when was the last time you had an old fashioned test picture on your TV screen?
There are always some images I like but don’t use because the calendar is obscured by a) my taskbar or b) the few icons I have on my screen’s left or right hand side… Maybe designers could take the usability a little more into account (and that’s a general remark).

  86. 130

    High Treason, definitely. :)

I see a few people have already explained ‘Movember’, though I’ll add that it is also called that in Canada.

  87. 131

Papyrus? Really? I thought that would be, like, banned here.

  88. 133

There were a few a liked but I chose November Girl designed by Yuskiv Taras from Ukraine. She’s odd, like me!

  89. 134

    i like Diwali wallper!

  90. 135

Even though most of Sasha Bells’ illustration work has been removed from several websites for blatant plagiarism (DeviantArt, PlurkLayouts, Facebook and even your own website), Smashing Magazine still continues to support her by featuring the Bell Sisters, without fail, every single month. For a website with as much influence as you have, it’s really disappointing. As designers, shouldn’t we be discouraging this kind of behaviour? When you receive 200 submissions each month, featuring four wallpapers by the same family is a little excessive – the photography might be popular, but at what cost?

    • 136

I agree. The Bell sisters make money by selling plagiarised works and it’s a shame to keep supporting them :(

    • 137

Right you are! Just wonder when SM will delete this comment, because imho Bell Sisters seem to have reached Divine Status at SM! :-(

  92. 139

Very very vivid collection of wallpapers. Eagerly waiting the Xmas season designs………..

    TFS……..Love & Regards

    Hi Team,

Great list of wallpapers.. i like it..
But i expected more for Diwali wallpapers with crackers :(

  95. 142

Wuw… Great collection! Certainly better than the last three months. Season-bound-themes are a tad useless when you’re in South Africa though. It’s Summer here! Hot Hot HOT! ;)

  96. 143

The photos of Sasha Barking are simply great!

  97. 144

    I really like “La Calaca”.
    *using it right now!

  98. 146

Thanks a lot for featuring my “Stereo is better” work for this month!!
I like very much Jimi Hendrix wallpaper and Pink Morning!

  106. 154

Hi! Thank you very much for featuring my wallpaper!
Really good collection on this month!
These are my fave this month: UX cake, Fall into Place, Symbian World, Fallen Leaves, A Myriad of Stars, Autumn Afternoon and Picturesque November.

  107. 155

Can someone design a spring one as it is spring in Australia….and maybe next mth a summer one for a Oz???

    Greatly appreciated

    • 156

I was trying to design several that incorporated major nations’ holidays, and both hemispheres (reversed) seasons…but I ended up running out of time [got sick, as did my PC :( ]. It’s a difficult proposition to try and fit a lot of different needs into one wallpaper, and definitely bucks the trend of ‘minimalist’ design, so it won’t please those trendoids…I was going to have Thanksgiving, Diwali, Dia de Muertos and Guy Fawkes (firey, autumnal colors as unifying theme) along with contrast of green (fading from green into harvest) along with some other motifs. Will start soon on Dec….summer vs. winter solstice and various holidaze of lights. Wish me luck!

      • 157

I would suggest that you could “re-edit” seasons, with changed calendars. For example:
In December winter begins in North Hemisphere, and summer on south, you could reedit the june wallpapers, changing the calendar to december to us on the south hemisphere, doesn´t need to be a new one.
I would not mind having a calendar/wallpaper that was previously released, but matches the calendar and the season I´m currently in.
The season thematic calendars are great, but seems odd to use them here on south hemisphere, since our seasons are opposed to yours.

My favourites was “Lonely White Guardian” and “A Myriad of Stars”. I’m currently using the “Lonely White Guardian” as my desktop wallpaper, and it brightens my inspiration. :-)

Thanks alot for this good share!

  109. 159

    Happy Diwali to all !!!!!

  110. 160

the thanks for giving calendar has a typo. it says “heats and minds” instead of “hearts and minds”. that one would have been my second favorite. my favorite is the usability calendar.

  111. 161

My favorite this month is Bon Voyage… But, what happened with I really miss their design!!!

    Thank you so much!!!

  112. 162

Love the collection but would certainly love it much more if the Movember wallpaper called out the real cause behind the movement – not just calling it some “weird reason”

  113. 163

Really nice callenders… very good work .. cant wait to c more…

  114. 164

Expectation by Jaro Mlkvy was my favorite this month!
My birthday is coming and this wp reminds me of my always cold but cool parties.
    Love this month!
I took Expectation and it looks awesome on my desktop…
This was my first gift, thanks Jaro! hehehe…
Hope to see more from you!
    Great job!

    P.S. Bell Sisters rocks… they’re my faves (:

    Diana Rivera from Mexico

Thank you very much! Im so glad you liked my wallpaper:) your comment made my day :) and happy birthday!

  115. 166

Awesomeness. I can’t take my eyes off of these wallpapers. A must have for the month of November and i guess for the rest of the month. Excited for the December snowy with lantern issue of smashing magazine.

    November 2, 2010 12:04 pm

I didn’t read all the comments. But I am pretty disappointed that the only Thanksgiving calendar has “hearts and minds” misspelled. I don’t think I will prepare my “heats and minds” at all. :( /facepalm

  117. 168

I’m not a designer, but LOVE design! My faves this month are Flying, Reprieve, November Tree, November Rain, Stereo is Better, La Calaca, Myriad of Stars, and Diwali Greetings. Great job, everyone! Didn’t know there was a controversy about the Bell sisters, but their pieces don’t really appeal to me.

  118. 169

more infographic wallpapers like Expanse & UX Cake, please! and i’ve always liked cheloveche’s designs :)

  119. 170

Loved Kim Carney’s! And also Celsiuspictor’s. Beautiful and fun. Can’t wait to see next month’s!

  120. 171

Yeah, I totally agree about the Bell sisters, I think something dodgy’s going on! What I don’t like is the way that she won’t publish critiscism on her website, it doesn’t make it look very legitimate!

falling for the “Fallen Leaves”, “Fall into place” :)

@the Sisters ! – just do wat you folks do best.. leave rest to fate.
most don’t speak – but ther are some who say – “I love your Work !”

  122. 173

I like a lot of these, though I can’t/won’t use any that feature people. Great work!

That being said, I do think that ones with typos or completely wrong calendars should be instantly disqualified. It does make one question the selection process. I understand getting inundated with 200 calendars, but is it so hard to review the final 50 before the post goes up?

    • 174

I think it would be mean to disqualify those pictures, I think you should just have someone correct the mistakes.

      • 175

Or the designer should correct the mistake, or review before submitting, or have someone else review it before they submit. It’s not about being mean. if SM is choosing the best of the ones they received, shouldn’t the best be free of errors?

  123. 176

I like “Expectation” most. It is so cool.

  124. 177

    I like Simple Sunflower

  125. 178

I think “Racing Incident” was brilliant and different. I loved the fact that there was a thought to it.

  126. 179

Olivia and Sasha , Well done ! Marvelous …

  127. 181

I liked the “Autumn Fun”, Greece. Its simple, the dates are prominent, colour is soothing and looks good on the desktop. Also nice to see the Diwali wallpaper.

  128. 183

Wow! There’s so many superb wallpapers this month. I like Sasha’s photo’s a lot, especially the heart. But I think I’ll stick with “High Treason” as a wallpaper.

  129. 184

  130. 185

I’m a big fan of the Bell sisters and the one that works best on my work desktop is Fallen Leaves by Olivia Bell. Thanks for another great photo.

  131. 187

“Fall into Place” is awesome. Great work.

  132. 188

    Hi people…

Last two months i send my wallpaper, but i received this message:

because of the unexpectedly high number of submissions, our automatic system that processes these submissions reports problems.

Your submission contains errors and therefore can not be considered for the contest.

But please notice that we have changed the rules for the desktop wallpaper submissions.

    Please carefully review rules:
one more time and send us the files in the right resolutions.

Please do not send us your wallpapers multiple times – it makes the processing of your submissions
more difficult and may result in ignoring the wallpapers because of the spamming.

    With warm greetings,

So, i review the rules and cannot find my mistakes… I send the wallpaper in jpg and in right resolutions…

    Please, somebody can help me?

  133. 189

I’d just like to say my favourites are Knitting Design by Maria Fisenko and Pink Morning by Oxtana Kostromina. I love Maria’s design, it’s really cool and I love Oxana’s colours, so well done to you guys!

  134. 190

I love your monthly calendar wallpapers! I must say this month is amazing – so many too choose from. Think I’ll have to have a different one every day this month!
    Thanks to all the designers

  135. 191

I just love Christine Bradway’s art work.,, hip without being teeny-boperish. Her lettering is so soothing with the way she makes flow. I will be back for her other wall paper designs.

  136. 193

I keep hearing about the Bell wallpapers being fabulous, but I just don’t see the greatness in the work. I mean, sweaty socks? Really? None of them really impress me, and yet they make up a lot of the wallpapers. Sad.

I love the Myriad of Stars, though. Very nicely done. =)

  137. 194

I am not particularly impressed this month, might be the cold turning down the inspiration ??

  138. 195

I’m looking forward to the beginning of each month ever since I discovered your site! It’s great to see how creative people are and I also love that contributions come in from all parts of the world. So thanks to everyone who takes the time to create a wallpaper or to put them on this page!

This month, my favourites are the ux cake, Calaca for El día de Muertos, Picturesque November and the Jimi Hendrix wallpaper. Looking forward to the December wallpapers already!

  139. 196

Great collection of desktop wallpaper. I like the November Rain, simple and attractive.

  140. 197

That’s great work. i really like this calender.

  141. 198

Great collection, love the Mechanical Month!

  142. 199

I am using November Tree this month… Very simple, smooth lines… I love it.

  143. 200

    Happy Diwali

  144. 201

    Very Nice collections.. love it..

  145. 202

    I love “Pink Morning” !

  146. 203

Thanks for another month with multiple awesome wallpapers to choose from ;)

(Would love to see more of them in 1600×1200 as it’s my native resolution at work.)

  147. 204

This month’s selection was very good. Some really inspiring works. Autumn Afternoon is my choice as the best this month.

  148. 205

November wallpaper from is available now! You can find it here:

But it seems that they are having some trouble with the website because this is the only one that I could see… But it is enough for me!

    Have a nice day!

    DAEPARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^.~

    - Transitions // I like this colors.
    - Simple Sunflower // I like Sun flower.

Maybe I like pictures than. But thanks for all calender of this month and their author.

  161. 219

After hearing so much about them, I went and checked for myself the plagiarism accusations against Sasha Bell.

From what I’ve seen, it looks like she’s quite clearly someone who mooches off others’ work. Maybe a publication as influential as SM should be more careful about who it promotes on it’s website.

Another point, if SM gets about 150 – 200 submissions, couldn’t you add some more variety instead of just putting up the uncannily similar works of the Bell sisters?

  162. 220

Finally, Amazing pics again.. !! :)

  163. 221

Smita Upadhye is rocking on India’s great festive ethnic design… Smitha you should be a regular contributor for this monthly wallpaper series….!!! Hats off…

  164. 222

    these are nice wall papers..
especially, the rain wallpapers was great..

  165. 223

All callenders are very nice. Best is from Lucijan Blagonic and Jaro Mlkvy.
Jaro velmi sa mi paci tvoj design, je vidiet ze sa vyznas v grafike a som velmi rada ze som nasla v smashingmagazine takto nadaneho slovaka ;)

  166. 224

    Enjoy the creative process、Expectation、November Rain

  167. 225

I do not like not nice

  168. 226

    not impressive…as previous ones…

  169. 227

November Rain is the best this Time but there are several great ones! REALLY GREAT CHOICE THIS MONTH thank you!

  170. 228

I love Symbian World, cant wait for the next one…keep it up Anna

  171. 229

Somehow, I feel quality is decreasing. Overall these are not as good as we had for last few months.

  172. 230

    Really like:
    Bon voyage
    One big heart of ours
    November rain!

  173. 231

    some calendar numbering got error

  174. 232

Fallen Leaves has my vote. It’s just beautiful. It’s hard to be photos this great into words.

  175. 233

I, too, miss the Thanksgiving theme. For those who stated that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving, I would also say that not everyone celebrates Diwali but there is a calendar for that. I like Calaca for D’d de los Muertos because at least it is more relevant for me since there isn’t a turkey or cornucopia around. P.S. I’m not too fond of the Bells either.

  176. 234

    wow!!! amazing designs!

  177. 235

    Hafsa, the heaven

    November 19, 2010 3:26 am

I would thank all the people who made these designs with keen interest and with different themes and ideas, but if it is required to select and suggest one, then i would suggest Diana Samoila’s design.

  178. 236

    Maria Fisenko (marylika) from Ukraine!!!

  179. 237

Nice…Wallpapers….I missed til date to See …I didnt Saw such A Website…Thnx for Developers

  180. 238

    November fire!!
Thanks for a great idea and a really great design folks!

  181. 239

Thank you for sharing all of these.
    I choose Transitions^^ ♧

  182. 240

Though I no longer do any serious graphic arts work, I follow the articles in Smashing magazine. I love the monthly calendar choices. This month I have November Girl on my screen at work. People stop by and comment “where did you find that?”, or “I LOVE your screen background!” I tell them about Smashing magazine and often send the link to calendar choices to people every month, so this is good advertising. If I could have one wish though it would be that the artists remember function. Most people have all of their desktop folders on the left side of their screens – bad place to put the calendar or any part of the design that will obscure the folders.

  183. 241

Love “One Big Heart of Ours”, “Fallen Leaves” and “Autumn Afternoon”

  184. 242

in the thanksgiving one they spelled hearts wrong

  185. 243

Best collection as always. But as always, the glitch is – the smashing magazine logo.

you should put it at a predefined place, like a corner or so, and add some transparency to it.

putting it anywhere looks an eyesore in otherwise gorgeous designs.

  186. 244

Mechanical Month might be good but the calendar shows the date 31. Oops! :)

  187. 245

    that’s great and amazing!!!!!!!11

  188. 246

Thanks for all these amazing wallpapers… I know have a “Desktop” that everyone is looking twice :)

    Thumbs up!

  189. 247

    Greate job!!!
    I love this site!

  190. 248
