Things Are Looking Up

"I was shooting a wedding and was searching for perfect light. I convinced my bride and groom to keep climbing up to the top of the mountain we were on, as soon as we crested the summit the shy sun was waiting for us and the sky burst alive. It was perfect. The early fall sun was headed back south and the air had that slight crisp to it. Winter was coming but not here yet. The very moment the groom saw the landscape in front of him unfold, he quietly spoke to his new bride “things are looking up”. She giggled a laugh only a newlywed could. Keep your head up – things are looking up." Designed by Las Vegas Wedding Photographers from USA.

She was internally decapitated, broke her lower back, pelvis and all the ribs on one side. Doctors thought she wouldn’t make it through the night for she lay on an 8 inch broken bottle for over 8 hours before being discovered. She is steadily recovering and proved the doctors wrong in that she not only walked again but she dances and teaches others. She’s a motivational speaker and a living miracle. Here are more links to her story. and this is her website." Designed by Talamieka Brice.

Great collection! I like Pyre In The Sky. I would like it to be 1280×800, because when I resize the picture is streched and doesn’t look that good. But a very good collection and thank you for the work! :)

    Great postings as usual,
why don’t post also dual monitor versions (or create a separate category), could be a chance to express even more creativity on even more pxels !!!

I was a bit disappointed with both last month and this month – with the exception of Almog Shemesh. I picked his wallpapers for both August and September. :) although one request to Almog would be to switch up the actual background color of the illustration – instead of getting a whole new feel for the month and changing the color scheme, I just got a new character on the same color background. He’s still cute though, heh. Got ink?

Disappointing. I’m a fan of the lighthouse and the September bliss, but seriously no rugby world cup theme and no 9/11 10 yr anniversary theme? How could both of these be overlooked?

    Thanks everyone

Surprised there wasn’t more ‘Autumn’ pictures to be honest. I’ve chosen September purely for the leavey Autumn colours, but maybe that’s because I am from UK!

Look forward to October. Please someone do a Halloween one!

You are whining about your selection from a free service provided to you. No one forces you to come to this website and download desktops yet you take it upon your own narcissistic self to insult the people that put time in to provide you with your free desktop wallpaper. Aren’t you just a wonderful contribution to society?

    +8
  5. 5

A little disappointed with this months selection if I’m honest. I would have expected a bit more choice in 3D Art like there has been previously.

Regardless, I’d pick out the lighthouse, september bliss and Jonathan Livingston Seagull as my favourites.

I’m a bit disappointed this month too. I usually get so excited the 1st of every month and the last two months … nothing much. The artists are very talented, but there’s been nothing I’m super excited about – to use on my desktop. I don’t mean to complain as this is a free exhibition of art – and the efforts are appreciated. I just happened to notice a few other folks feel the same way so I thought I’d chime in.

    Yeah, me too :(

There are less comments this month compared to last, so I guess some others are feeling the same.

September Bliss & Colorful Apple are the winners for me.

Although, as always, all the designs are of excellent quality. Very inspiring.

Now to decide which machine to put which design on?? hmmm… September Bliss on the Mac and Colorful Apple on the PC I think…

Thank you for another great collection SM.

P.S. Is anyone else seeing the Swiss Re Building (aka the ‘Gherkin’) in the Geometric design?

I agree with you. I think the people taking the time and putting in hte effort to provide us with the se beautiful ‘free’ designs should be well appreciate – and for those of who don’t have anything nice to say or if this is not for you, feel free to take your negativity somewhere else. Don’t get me wrong – criticism should always be welcome, but when it is insulting.
