You may be looking to brighten up your checkout page with a more original shopping cart icon or perhaps you’re designing a website from scratch that requires a shrimp icon. Either way, if your budget is limited and you need a wide array of different icons, this set of chunky pixel-perfect icon might be just what you need.

The icons are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license2. You are free to distribute, transform, fiddle with and build them into your work, even commercially. However, please always credit the original designer of the set (in this case, Dutch Icon).

Behind The Design

As always, here are some insights from the designer:

“Pretty Pika! A new chunky pixel-perfect and vector-perfect icon style has been born. She loves tiny integration, looks gorgeous on Retina displays and covers all major themes. And (very) soon to be a semantic symbol font. We wouldn’t want you to miss out and only hope you enjoy her as much as we do.

We are happy to provide designers and developers with an original and crafted icon design. Use visual language to make your graphic applications or identity design look sharp. “

Thanks, Dutch Icon! We sincerely appreciate your time and efforts!

For those interested in the complementary semantic symbol font – She’s here! SS Pika a friendly new symbol font with precise pixel-fitting and a warm, organic finish. Designed to make your graphic and interface designs look inviting and charming, the glyphs in this set are incredibly consistent and sharp, but not severe. They look gorgeous on any display and are super easy to style to fit your exact design needs. Use natural language keywords for a professional, intuitive experience. The set comprises of an incredible 504 glyphs and 681 keywords (now $60). Get charmed at http://symbolset.com/#pika

WOW – way above market value… seriously, $60 for minimalistic (non-coloured) icon set of 500? Sorry great set, but It’d be cheaper to get the icons you need made by a freelancer in the style – with full rights, to make back money with extra’s you are not using just for the set. IMHO & experience with Pixel perfect icon developers in Illustrator, once you have you’re style, inspiration etc, knocking them out on a template (especially for resale) for life, net’s you x10-100+ re-sales, which is why most similar products sell for much less, unless full of Vector PSD, PNG, Ai, SVG, Font Icons – I can then understand the pricing…. GREAT STUFF THOUGH GUYS, Keep up the good work. I’ll buy the set(s) when the price goes on sale. I’ll keep my eye out for you’re guys work – if I get rich I may consider it if I really need them quick :-)

Wow $60 for a set of Icons, this has got to be one of the most, if not the most expensive set out there – these guys realize they charge more than brain doctors for this stuff – and it is a re-sale commodity = they are going to make 10-50x what it would be if I Ordered it freelance…. I love the work, but would never pay $60 for a bunch of Icons, there are enough Free & Market Value Commercial ones in my collection and always created to make up for this over-priced stuff out there – just wait till it doesn’t sell and ends up on MightyDeals.com etc – that’s where I get my overpriced stuff on discount (just like a live online store – when overpriced for too long, newer, cheaper stuff comes out, new trends etc – prices are forced down discreetly or as a ‘minimal time sale’ to make up revenue lost creating the overpriced product.)
Just some of my economics background flowing to the surface LOL.. but certainly true in all commercial area’s.

    Thanks for reading.
