The icons come in different-sized PNGs (32 × 32, 64 × 64, 128 × 128 and 256 × 256 pixels), and the set includes Photoshop and Illustrator files containing all of the icons. Released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license, freely available for private and commercial projects.

Behind The Design

As always, here are some insights from the designers:

“At Responsive, we create a lot of e-commerce websites, occasionally using freebie icons found on Smashing Magazine. We thought it was time to give back! This pack has been created for modern stores and other e-commerce websites, and all of the icons are completely free to use.

The set is designed to be flat and minimalist. In designing the icons, our goal was to create a multipurpose set in which the icons could function not only as icons, but as actual buttons; for example, for payment options and navigation. Because the layered source files are included, the icons can be easily modified or transformed into something entirely new.”

A big Thank You to the team at Responsive for the fantastic icon set — we all sincerely appreciate your hard work!

Look decent, but some of these are a straight copy off of the flat icon set inspired by google.

Like the money, billfold with money, the store front, red bag, and calendar.

      Hi Ryan,

Not sure which icon set you are talking about. I looked but couldn’t find much. Obviously there will be icons set out there that contain similar elements, it is an eCommerce set after all ;-) In any case nothing is copied.

    Nice icon set. Thanks.

p.s. I’m not sure how you can call an icon with a 3d edge on it flat.

most of these icons aren’t compliant with the card issuers policy for logo usage, in most cases the logos they used aren’t even the ones the company expect you to show (e.g. paypal or american express).

you can’t take a logo, modify it (even just changing the background color isn’t usually acceptable) and use it on your site.

also the download link on the preview matrix is broken (404).

Well said! Some of these icons are the property of their corporate entities and can not be adapted for commercial use. Just be careful which ones you choose to use.

People who make icons of this quality and then give them out freely should be shot…

Yup. Shot by a camera, framed, and put into art galleries as “Upstanding Human Beings who Make the World a Better Place”. :)

    Great set! Appreciated!

Great icons! I needed to add one to the set, a point of sale pin pad. So I drew one up. Feel free to use if you need it: http://dribbble.com/shots/1246083-Pin-Pad
