DelliStore: A Free Professional CSS/XHTML/PSD-Template

Over the last months we’ve heard numerous complaints about the lack of quality in our freebie releases. We are aware that our readers have high expectations and we try to do our best to meet them in our posts. In this post we release a beautiful high-quality (X)HTML/CSS-template (including its PSD-source) that will hopefully meet your expectations and come in handy in your projects.

DelliStore Template Link

This template, designed by the design agency Dellustrations and released especially for Smashing Magazine and its readers, is a full px-based, cross-browser-compliant (X)HTML/CSS-template (IE 6, IE 7, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome). It consists of 4 custom pages; the PSD-source is included in the release package. You may modify this template for a e-commerce web site, restaurant, pool and spa web-sites and other caters, ventures and facilities.

As always, the template is completely free and may be used for any private or commercial project without any restrictions whatsoever.

nice one… why is there no more of all above option ?

(SM) Because that option wouldn’t make any sense.

  5. 6

Good to see a cool non-WordPress theme so now and then…

*gasp* The cake is a lie!

Looking nice if you have a restaurant. Strange is that the template on their own page still costs 29,99 $ ???

“…designed by the design agency Dellustrations especially for Smashing Magazine and its readers…”? Hm… As someone stated before: They sold it on their site long before releasing it here and it´s still there…

(SM) The release pack was sent to us 4 months ago, but it was released only now.

  12. 13

Thanks SM for the amazing release ! appreciate it a lot : )

  17. 18

    thanks :)) … nice one

  18. 19

this looks forced and oversized, just as one of previous WP themes.
though, I agree, more templates are more than welcome, just not in this style.

  19. 20

Looks great, i was thinking about doing a template very similar to this

Nice template, its should come handy somehow. It could always be useful somehow even if you’re not going to design a deli, restaurant website. Just modify it and use your imagination instead of complaining for god sakes. It’s free!

  23. 24

typo on the services page…don’t think you necessarily want everyone to ‘sing up!’ ;)

Awesome freebie. Not really sure why people have complained about quality, though. All SM free releases have been great.

  25. 26

I like learning how to do things. So, more articles please.

Maybe a little Gimp, too :-)

How about less of those 50 or 100 or 25 or 10 or 1293 things you must do or see or whatever type web pages ;-)

  26. 27

I find it hard to believe why people would complain about free stuff. IT’S FREE. Let these arseholes spend a lot of time creating something and have people complain about it.

    Thanks for the freebit!

  27. 28

It took me 10 minutes to realize that this is not a two story building.
The loading of the site will most likely be slow with all those pictures, but i can see how it might be usefully in some cases.

I really like it! thanks for the free template. I am going to use it very soon for a new friend who wants a site for her baking business. ( free is my favorite!)

What’s with smashing magazine and all the free templates? Aren’t the use of templates very self defeating in the design world. We shouldn’t rely on creating website designs as cookie cutters for those too lazy to create something unique or hire a designer…this is problematic and I see more and more people thinking it’s okay to use this stuff for their businesses instead of creating unique content. I love smashing magazine, I think you guys have great articles for the most part, but what’s next… logo templates? Dear god please stop with the website templates.

Great idea, Thanks SM and Dellustrations for posting such a great template. I would love to see more non-WP templates as well.

  34. 35

Great idea….thanks! Please release more of this stuff.

  35. 36

As somebody who doesn’t make PSD mock-ups in his sleep and is interested in seeing articles about all aspects of web development – thanks for a well commented and fully sliced, cross-browser compatible PSD.

I think people should stop complaining a bit ;)

They’re free templates, so I’m already happy enough that someone is willing to put time into making something that looks better than average for us. Most free templates look like absolute (excuse the language) poo, so this is a welcome improvement.

Besides that, you can’t really make everyone happy all the time, as some templates appeal to other people than yourself.

Keep up the good work SM :)

p.s.: I do believe that visitors are expecting a high quality output from SM, wether it’s templates, articles or other things. As long as SM looks after that level of quality I think we’ll be fine :)

    Thank For Share :)

Good looking theme! A couple of the id names are implying presenation a bit too much though (leftcol, rightcol). Lables should also be associated with their respecitve inputs. Would also have liked to see skip links as well. Enough of the complaining :)
