Let’s Travel The World: 100 Trendy Touristic Icons [Freebie]

Today’s icon set consists of a set of vector icons that represent monuments across the globe, so they can be literally used anywhere. This colorful set was carefully designed by Freepik141 and is completely free to use for commercial as well as your personal projects, including software, online services, templates and themes.

Insights From The Designers: Link

“These icons are trendy and present a good number of reference sites in regards to graphic design. Due to the fact that designers and developers have increasingly become quite demanding when choosing icons, we’ve chosen this line style to capture the elegance and cleanliness. The fluorescent colors are also in line with the trend and, in this case, are the best way to highlight line icons on black and white.

We created this icon set with a modern and minimalist style that contrasts with the traditional character of the photographs in black and white. They can be used to create logos to adorn websites, travel guides, and even video motion graphics. We’ve prepared them in vector format so that they can be used in any type of medium. You’re welcome! ;)”

Thank you to the creative minds behind Freepik141 — we sincerely appreciate your time and efforts! Keep up the brilliant work!

I remember doing a project in college like this, turning recognizable landmarks into simple icons. That was in 1990. My profs must have been ahead of their time.

That bridge in London is Tower Bridge, not London Bridge. And it’s uninhabited.

Hi Simon. I’m Alejandro, founder of Freepik. I want to thank you for your feedback and apologize for the error. We have already modified the title :) Thanks again!

    A very nice collection.

What’s really needed, and would be popular, are generic tourism icons.

E.g. Generic Church, castle for Europe, mosque, islamic building for mid east, Buddha, generic chinese temple, tibetan temple, hindu temple

Different bed or hotel icons, ditto restaurant, cafes etc

Generic buildings would be a lot more useful than the popular ones which are easy enough to find!

Inspired by this I created Sarajevo’s City Hall in the same style:

    Hope you like it!

Wow, wow. Something I was looking for recently. But I didn’t find these :)

Great icon set! Thanks for the love on Malaysia and its Asia counterparts. Been seeing a lot of designers who think that US or Europe are the only countries around.

  7. 9

Really nice, but I wonder why they make the Belgium Atomium look like a ferris wheel while it’s more like a 3D cube in reality.

      Hi Bart,
I’m Alejandro Sánchez, founder of Our designer gave it this appearance due to the optical effect, but you’re right. We are modifying it to make it look more like a cube. Thanks so much for your feedback!

Thank you very much for this great collection, I like it very much.
Just a small correction — on preview no.4, the tower of Ejer Bavnehøj (Baunehoj) is not in Germany, but in Denmark.

    Thanks again!

Am I the only one missing the Eiffel Tower and Pyramids of Giza? These places are quite touristic you know… ;-)

      Hi Stef,

You’re right indeed, however, please note that this is an icon set with a limited amount of icons ;)

Great collection. Can anyone confirm if this project is available for contributions or if there is a way to suggest to add more landmarks? Thanks

Hi, awesome set of icons!. Is there a chance that these icons are also available as lines with strokes instead of expanded objects?, that would be amazing!

  14. 20

    Great work!
Inspired by this freebie I created a set of city icons:

Please see the Template and do give me your feedback!
License: Free for commercial and personal use.

Alejandro, thank you to you and your organization for this set of icons. Folks like you help to make our lives so much nicer with free icons and graphics. It is much appreciated by the community. FYI, though, I can’t believe that no one has commented on one tiny mistake regarding the ‘space needle’ – ( come on Seattle people, wake up! ) The space needle is actually in the State of Washington, not Washington DC. It is in the city of Seattle, and I just can’t fathom that no one has mentioned it. Any way, thanks again for your work.

Thanks so much for your words and your feedback, Mike. And I’m sorry for these mistakes. There are icons of many monuments around the world, and I have to admit that in some details we goofed. Thanks again!

    great!! awesome work :)

  17. 24

Thanks to Freepik & Smashing for the icons! Great to see them here in SVG format, it is really appreciated.

  18. 25

I’ve been using Freepik for a very long time, I used your icons for making websites, just for help. The other day I read this new news and I remembered something that made me feel very disappointed:

I know there are a lot of different works with the same style, but some of those icons are exactly the same!!!! I thought your freebies were exclusives, as u said in your website, but I found that isn’t truth. I hope you change the way you’re doing things, you’re going to have problems if you don’t do it.

      Hi Sam,

Your pack has only 8 monuments and this pack has 100. I made a comparison and nothing is the same. Also the entire pack has a consistent style.

I think that you mention sounds like a personal opinion. I have worked many simple concepts and often the similarities are inevitable. ;-)

  19. 27

YO! 10X For the great icons!
