Dion Almaer is striving for a better Web as Director of the Web Developer Ecosystem at Google. He works on tools, services, and libraries that aim to make it easier for developers to build successful products that load fast and delight users. He also enjoys working with developers throughout the ecosystem, across many of Google’s Web initiatives beyond Chrome itself.
Previously, he’s built software products and platforms from his own startups to companies such as Mozilla (developer tools), Palm (webOS), and Walmart Labs (VPE for native mobile and Web).
Last week, Google’s web platform team shared some of the latest updates to the Web Platform across themes such as performance, UX and design, modern front-end development, PWAs, privacy, and security on the web.
