We created CareerFoundry to help others build their careers while maintaining personal freedom and flexibility. Our 100% online, flexible, mentor-driven courses are setting the standard for globally accessible technical education. Through our online programs, expert mentors and tutors bring students from complete beginners to junior UX designers in 8 months.
We are looking for new or experienced, and most of all, passionate UX designers all over the world to join our tutor and mentor body and help define the next generation of design talent by educating and empowering students across the globe. We are currently actively seeking applicants from EU and US-based timezones.
Tutoring and mentoring go beyond teaching. We want you to inspire newcomers to the field to build, to problem solve, to think like a UXer, and to increase their value as professionals. With knowledge and expertise from the field, you will provide guidance and encouragement to their students each step of the way, from sketching their first user flow, to producing working prototypes.
Check out if this is for you:
As a mentor, you will be reviewing your students’ work on regular basis with a view to how it would fit into an industry-ready portfolio. Additionally, you will do one-on-one video calls to help prepare your students for their entry into their new industry. They’re going to want to know how you got your start in the industry, how you network, how you decide which companies and roles to go for, and much more! To succeed in this role, you need to have a real drive to pass on your wisdom and secrets for success to the next generation of design talent.
As a tutor, you’ll be providing daily support to students completing a CF course, as well as regularly reviewing student projects submitted through the CareerFoundry platform, checking for fundamental understanding of concepts and tools, and suggesting supplemental learning materials and personal insights in areas where students are struggling
Tutors and mentors work on a freelance contract with CareerFoundry and are remunerated for tasks approved, portfolio reviews, and coaching calls with students, depending on which role fits you best.
Send a resume, any professional social links, a portfolio and/or personal website/Dribbble/Behance accounts, and a brief cover letter explaining why you’d make a great tutor or mentor to email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing from the educators who will be guiding the next generation of designers here at CF.
